On January 30th the ladies of Cornerstone had a wonderful time of fellowship.  The theme of the Winter Ladies Fellowship was, "Bundle up with Friendship".  Carol Rathburn instructed the younger women through a time of teaching and the ladies participated in a tie scarf craft.

We are looking forward to a great new year (2012)!  The Sunday morning message was a great reminder of how precious Jesus is to those who KNOW Him.  Make it your goal this year to deepen your relationship with Him through a faithful study of God's word!

Our special Candlelight Christmas service was December 21st.  Christmas Sunday, the 25th of December, was  a great time of celebration.  Both morning and evening services were a blessing, as we sang Christmas hymns as a church family.  Praise God for the gift of His precious Son- without the birth of Christ, there would be no redemption!

Our deaf ministry is growing!  This spring a class will be offered to anyone who would like to learn sign language and serve in this new ministry.  More to come!

A brand new Cornerstone Choir began this fall.  The choir has sung on two Sundays, most recently December 18.  What a blessing it has been!

The Homebuilders Class got together on Saturday night to share favorite Christmas traditions, play some games in which the entire family could participate in, and decorate cupcakes to deliver to various locations.  The children joined in and did a wonderful job decorating all the cupcakes.  I am sure those beautiful and delicious cupcakes were well received!

Friday night was Cornerstone Baptist Church's  first ever caroling hayride!  A heavily decorated Christmas hay wagon full of children and adult choir members drove through the streets of downtown Findlay to sing some of the greatest Christmas hymns ever written.  People rolled down their windows and paused along the streets to hear the carols being sung.  Many other Cornerstone adults walked along downtown Findlay to pass out tracks and share the Good news of Jesus Christ, born to save us all from sin!

The theme of this year's Missions Conference was, "Gaining what cannot be lost".  On Sunday night Pastor Sebast preached, Pastor Doug Fisher preached during the conference Monday through Tuesday, Daniel Hicks from the City Mission of Findlay had opportunity to share how God is at work through their ministry, and some of our missionaries provided video files which described their work out on the field.  There are spiritual blessings to gain when you invest in the Lord's work.  Investing in God's kingdom is a matter of trust, resulting in God's promise to supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19 )

The church had an amazing time of food and fellowship at this year's Harvest Festival.  There was a hog roast, pies, delicious harvest foods, apple cider, several different games and competitions, a hayride, a bonfire, singing, and good preaching from Brother Kim Stone!
